A lot of time was spent developing , test baking the new line of biscuits. When choosing ingredients, you want to make a tasty biscuit and, even though we are dealing with a snack, as healthy as possible. For a dough you need oil, sugar and flour additionally you can fill this basic dough with nuts, seeds, fruits, spices etc.
To get started:
All biscuits are made with extra virgin coconut oil. This is pure unprocessed coconut oil that is not deodorised and still contains a large portion of nutrients from the coconut. It has a mild coconut flavour. To extract the oil, the nut is cracked open and heated at a low temperature until the oil comes spilling out. Coconut oil is said to be very healthy and suitable for heating compared to other vegetable oils. We have a good feeling about it!
Sweetened with Coconut Blossom Syrup: Coconut blossom syrup is made from the juice from the flowers of the coconut palm.
Coconut blossom sugar is said to be the healthiest form of sugar and high in nutrients. Its glycaemic value is also much lower than ordinary sugar. For example, because of unstable blood sugar levels, it is a healthy alternative. The flavour of coconut blossom sugar is deliciously caramel-like.
Choice of Flour: naturally gluten-free and wholemeal so high in fibre. Multiple grains are used as each type has its own specific fibre and nutrients. As a base, we use oat flour and oatmeal an indispensable ingredient because of its good taste properties and large amount of slowly digestible carbohydrates. This is supplemented with cereals that mix well and have specific characteristics in terms of minerals, fibre, vitamins, etc. For this we use wholemeal rice flour, quinoa in the form of flour , flakes and puffed. Buckwheat flour with its own nutty flavour and for a few biscuits we add teff flakes which gives a delicious grain variation to your dough and is rich in calcium and iron.
Method: Coconut oil in the machine, add coconut blossom syrup and whirl through, then add flour and your basic dough is ready. This stays in the fridge for several hours and then add the filling and turn out on a forming machine. Baked off and packed on a combined weigh-fill machine.
Eating a few biscuits is a moment of pleasure and gives you energy to make something of your day or evening. We chose this recipe out of our own feelings, but we also think it will appeal to an ever-growing target group. Our biscuits are not diet products, but fit in well as a snack.
Since our bakery produces exclusively organic, vegan and gluten-free products, it is easier to guarantee this indoors. Purchase and risk analysis is therefore of utmost importance. For all ingredients purchased, the supplier provides corresponding specifications regarding reference to organic and any cross-contamination that may occur in a product. Especially with gluten-free, you are extra critical in the grain supplier of different flours and how and where they are packaged. For this, you also regularly do additional analysis on the finished product.
